I am pleased that you have chosen to take the time to consider hiring me as your attorney. I am the product of a middle class background. I was the first person in my family to graduate from college. My father died when I was 20, and I had to put myself through college and law school. I graduated from the University of Georgia in 1978, and from Mercer University Law School in 1981.

Upon graduation from law school, I wanted to make a difference in my community, so I went to work as an assistant district attorney, prosecuting serious crimes including murder, kidnapping, molestation and vehicular homicide. My conviction rate as a prosecutor was well over ninety percent.

After seven years of public service, I entered the private sector, representing several insurance companies and their insureds, including large trucking companies. This was during a time when insurance companies treated injured parties with fairness and respect. In the last decade, that philosophy changed dramatically, and insurance companies seemed to consider only the bottom line and their profit margin. After eighteen years of representing these insurance companies, I became disillusioned, and felt that I could better serve the public by representing injured parties against these corporate giants. I took a leap of faith and started Miller Legal Services, LLC.

I know how difficult it is when someone is hurt in an accident, not only for the injured party, but for the loved ones who are supporting that person. Medical bills mount up while very often the injured person is unable to work. This puts added stress on both the injured party and their family. During this time of vulnerability, insurance companies will try to take advantage of the injured person by offering a less than reasonable settlement. It is at this time that the assistance Miller Legal Services can provide is of the utmost importance. It is EXTREMELY important to get the advice of an experienced attorney before speaking with the insurance company, and I am uniquely qualified to provide this advice with caring and compassion. One of my greatest strengths is my willingness to have a personal relationship with each of my clients. When you call my office, you will speak to me, not a case manager. My clients feel as if they can call me at any time, with any questions regarding their case, and they will get straight answers from me.

While I will almost always attempt to settle a case when it is in your best interest, I have over 30 years of “in the trenches” experience to take your case to court, having tried well over one hundred jury trials during my career…and I am not afraid to do so.

I am a member of the Georgia State Bar Association, Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, the Cobb County Bar Association and the Cobb Trial Lawyers Association. I am licensed in both state and federal court, including the Northern District of Georgia, the Middle District of Georgia, and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and have spoken at numerous legal seminars. I have two grown children, and reside in Marietta, Georgia with my wife and two dogs. When I am not working, I enjoy supporting my UGA Bulldogs and developing my Big Green Egg skills.
